Marriage

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!   This is an exciting time in your life.   Your love for one another has  led you to make this marriage commitment!

To set your wedding date, please call the parish office (632-6333) a minimum of six months before you are planning to be married.  Because you as a couple and your impending marriage are so important, you will meet with Father Mark, who will explain the marriage preparation process to you.

When a couple is married in the Catholic Church, we believe, as Catholics, that they not only commit themselves to one another, but they make a marriage commitment to God and to the Catholic community.  The  marriage is not a private affair.  In turn, the community and God commit to support the couple in their marriage.  This, in part, is why all marriages take place within the Blessed Sacrament church building.  Even more important, because the marriage covenant is grounded in faith and will only be successful if lived in faith, it is essential that the couple be practicing and living their faith within a parish community.

Perhaps you were married outside the church and would like to have your marriage validated.  A validation marriage ceremony and blessing can be performed.
