Anointing of the Sick
The anointing of the sick is administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness, especially near the time of death. If you are infirm because of age or chronic serious illness, facing medical procedures, e.g. surgery, chemotherapy tests, or suffering severe mental or emotional stress you should be anointed. The illness should be of a serious nature but not necessarily life-threatening.
A healing mass is held twice each year at Blessed Sacrament once during the seasons of Advent and once during Lent. Contact the parish office for specific dates and times.
Arrangements may also be made for a priest to visit the hospital or home to provide the sacrament. Contact the parish office to arrange a visit. In the event of an after hours emergency, call the Parish Office and follow the instructions for emergencies.
