Bereavement Ministry – Grief Support
Loss is difficult and changes our lives forever. The journey to healing requires many steps, each of us traveling it in our own way, at our own pace. It always involves allowing our heart to dwell on the past but encourages and enables us to move on to a brighter future.
The Grief Support Ministry believes that the compassion of God embraces us all. Our mission is to provide a listening, compassionate and supportive environment for those who are grieving and for anyone in need of support for longer than they anticipated after a loss.
While our parish grief support can offer assistance through periodic phone calls or participation in one of our grief support groups, we are aware that some who are grieving are unable to travel to the group meetings, may not live locally or are not part of our parish community. To these individuals, and indeed anyone needing additional support throughout their time of grieving, we invite you to read any or all of the following grief support newsletters or information materials at a time you feel is appropriate for you.
